Looking back over 2006.

This was our most successful year. Ben Matthews joined us and helped us get recognition from the RYA in April to run all the RYA Practical cruising courses including Start Yachting, Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Preparation. We ran 14 RYA practical courses in 2006 which kept us very busy. Ben took most of the 5-Day courses and proved very popular with the customers. We also ran ICC (International Certificate of Competence) courses.

Corporate team building days are in increasing demand and we would particularly like to thank Wallrite Interiors for choosing us for their entry in The Little Britain Constructions Industries Regatta.

We had another successful racing year with 2nd in class in the Warsash Spring Series and the Poole Regatta, a 3rd in class in the Round The Island Race, finishing the year by winning Class 1 in the Poole Winter Series for the first time. We sailed to Ireland to compete in Cork Week where, as usual, we were more successful with the Après than with the racing, finishing down the pan (in the racing), albeit in the top half of our class, just!

RYA Courses

Poole SailingIn addition to our RYA practical courses we can now offer RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster onshore theory courses through our associates at Principal Power. These courses will be run over 3 consecutive weekends in January, February, November and December 2007 and will be aimed at getting our Day skipper students up to speed to take their Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore Practical Exams. The cost is £350 per person. For those that need it we can arrange accommodation aboard Jammin in Poole Quay Yacht Haven, at £20 per person per night. For more information

Corporate team building days have proved their worth particularly for helping to bond employees with customers. We can arrange 5 or more boats and will work with you to tailor make a programme to meet your needs. So, to encourage you to act now we are offering a special discount of 15% for any team-building event booked and paid for before the end of April 2007.

For more information call Mike on 07770 781 235. We are not yet booked for Cowes Week 3-11 August so if you have any interest please contact us ASAP.

Hen and stag partiesHen Parties and Stag Parties

Hen and Stag parties were not to the fore in our events last year in the past we’ve had some great craic and now that we have some youngsters in our team we hope that in 2007 they will regain their popularity.

If you are aware of friends or relatives who are planning to get spliced why not tell them to call us and we will help them to put together a great experience before they tie the knot. But tell them to book before the end of April to avoid disappointment and to get the 15% special discount. For more information call Mike on 07770 781 235

Something for the weekend?

We still have a few weekends free, so why not join us for a relaxing cruise down to the Solent or along the Jurassic Coast to Weymouth. Alternatively, if you feel competitive, join us for a PYRA (Poole Yacht Racing Association) race to the Folly Inn at Cowes and back or the Poole-Weymouth-Poole Race. Remember we have comfortable accommodation on board for up to 8 people including the crew.
