Course Content: This is a highly practical introduction to navigation and safety awareness for new, inexperienced or rusty skippers and crew with lots of opportunities for you to put your new found knowledge into practice using the exercises provided.

Course Content: This course equips you with enough knowledge to navigate around familiar waters by day. A basic knowledge of lights is also included to introduce you to night cruising.
Ability after course: The knowledge to navigate around familiar waters by day.
Course duration: 5 days if a weeks course or 6 days if split over three weekends. Each day runs from 9am to approximately 5pm.

Course Content: This course will take your theory knowledge to the standard required for the Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore practical exams, concentrating on advanced navigation and meteorology skills.
Ability after course: Able to navigate safely on coastal and offshore passages.
Course duration: 5 days if a weeks course or 6 days if split over three weekends. Each day runs from 9am to approximately 5pm.

Course Content: This course covers all the usual first aid subjects, but from a boating perspective. It is aimed at anyone who goes afloat, whether on inland waters, rivers, estuaries or on cross channel passages.
Ability after course: You will have a working knowledge of first aid for people using small craft and to support skippers.

Course Content: This course provides an understanding of how to use the safety equipment on board your boat. Experience first hand the problems of entering an uncooperative liferaft and assisting others while fully kitted out in wet weather gear and a lifejacket. Learn about the design of lifejackets, medical aspects of sea survival and search and rescue technique.
Ability after course: It is a well-proven fact that, in the event of an emergency at sea, people with training are more likely to survive.
Course duration: 1 day (including time in a pool & liferaft practice)

Course Content: Training for recreational and racing skippers and crews who encounter rough weather and problems at sea. Training in seamanship and emergencies, including heavy weather seamanship, weather forecasting, fire fighting and man overboard recovery
Ability after course: At the end of the course you will have a good knowledge of the safety equipment carried on small boats and the seamanship techniques needed to survive at sea in heavy weather.
The certificate awarded conforms with the eligibility requirements of section 6.01 of the ISAF Special Regulations for category 0, 1 and some category 2 offshore races.
